This guide will show you how to install WordPress, a popular blogging platform, using Softaculous. You will also learn how to install WordPress in multiple languages during the installation process.
Pre-requirements

Steps to Install WordPress Using Softaculous
- Log in to cPanel
Access your cPanel by visiting https://example_domain.com:2083 and log in with your credentials.
- Open Softaculous Panel
In your cPanel dashboard, click on the Softaculous icon or link to open the Softaculous Panel.
- Choose a Script Category
On the left side of the Softaculous panel, you will find a list of script categories. Select a script from the categories displayed. In this case, we are installing WordPress, which is found under the Blogs category.
- Select WordPress
Once you choose WordPress, the script details will appear, including ratings, reviews, and a demo URL. Click on the Install tab to proceed with the installation.
- Fill in Installation Details
- Domain: Enter the domain name where you want to install WordPress.
- Protocol: Select the protocol you want to use (e.g.,
http://orhttps://). - Admin Username and Password: Provide the admin username and password for your WordPress installation.
- Choose Language: If you wish to install WordPress in a specific language, select the language from the drop-down menu.
- Install WordPress
After filling in all the necessary details, click the Install button to start the installation process. The installation time may vary based on the size of the script and your server's performance, so be patient as the process completes.
- Access Your WordPress Installation
Once the installation is complete, Softaculous will provide links to access your WordPress site and the admin dashboard. Click on the links to access the site or the admin homepage.
Gotchas to Avoid
- Correct Language Selection: Be sure to select the correct language for your WordPress installation, as changing it later may require additional settings and adjustments.
- Installation Directory: If you want to install WordPress in the root of your domain (e.g.,
https://example_domain.com), leave the directory field blank.
