If your emails are not being delivered, the first steps to take are:

  • Ensure you have disabled any Spam Filters that may be active on the destination mail server.
  • Verify that the MX record setup is configured correctly.

Disabling Spam Filters

For email Spam Filters, log in to cPanel and navigate to Email > Spam Filters.

Make sure the slide toggle for Apache SpamAssassin is in the Off position.

Reviewing Incoming Logs

You can also review the Incoming Logs within the SpamExperts dashboard by going to Dashboard > Incoming > Logs.

Select a filter time period and use the blue search icon to display the results.

This will show a list of all emails received and processed by the SpamExperts system during the specified time-frame.

Key Columns to Check

If you locate the email in the list, pay attention to the following key columns:

  • Main class: This indicates the category assigned to the email. Common values include not-spam, spam, and unsure.
  • Status: This indicates what SpamExperts did with the email. Typical values include:
    • delivered: The email was successfully forwarded to the destination mail server.
    • rejected: The email was rejected and not delivered.
    • quarantined: The email was quarantined and is available for review and delivery via the Incoming Spam Quarantine page.

Gotchas to Avoid

  • Regularly check and update your Spam Filter settings to avoid unintentional email blocks.
  • Ensure your MX records are correctly pointed to the SpamExperts servers to facilitate proper email routing.
