This guide will help you create, manage, and delete email accounts using cPanel. With this interface, you can easily monitor your account's email quota and access various management tools.

Prerequisites

  • You must have access to a cPanel account.
  • Ensure you are logged into cPanel and on the home screen.

Steps to Create a New Email Account

  1. Access Email Accounts:

    Click the Email Accounts icon on the cPanel home screen.

  2. Select Domain:

    If you have multiple domains, use the Domain menu to choose the domain for the new email account.

  3. Create a New Email Account:

    Click the Create button to open the account creation options.

  4. Enter Email Address:

    In the Username text box, enter the desired email address. Note: Do not use "cpanel" as an account name.

  5. Set Password:

    In the Security section, choose Set password now. Enter a secure password that meets the following criteria:

    • Contains uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
    • Avoid using dictionary words.

    The system evaluates your password strength on a scale of 0 to 100.

    You can:

    • Click the reveal icon to display the entered password.
    • Click Generate to create a secure password automatically.
    • Click More to select password complexity options.
  6. Provide Alternate Email:

    Select Provide alternate email and enter an email address to receive a password creation link.

  7. Set Storage Space:

    In the Storage Space section, either:

    • Enter a custom size to limit the email account's quota.
    • Select Unlimited to remove limits.
  8. Configure Plus Addressing:

    In the Automatically Create Folders for Plus Addressing section, choose one of the following options:

    • Automatically Create Folders: Create a new folder for emails using plus addressing.
    • Do Not Automatically Create Folders: Deliver plus addressed emails to the INBOX.
  9. Stay on the Page:

    Select Stay on this page after I click Create if you want to create another email account immediately after.

  10. Create the Account:

    Click Create to finalize the account creation. You will be redirected to the Email Accounts interface.

  11. Access New Email Account:

    Your new email account is now successfully created! From the Email Accounts screen, you can:

    • Access webmail for the account.
    • Change the password.
    • Adjust the quota.
    • Delete the account.
    • Create additional email accounts.
