What is SpamExperts? SpamExperts is an email filtering service that manages domains and their configurations. If you encounter an error stating that the domain already exists on the SpamExperts platform, it indicates that the domain is registered as either a primary or alias domain.

Understanding the Error

This error may occur if the domain was previously owned by you and used within the MarketConnect platform. To resolve this issue, follow these recommended steps:

Steps to Resolve the Error

  1. If you have previously purchased SpamExperts products for the same domain directly from SpamExperts or any third-party sellers, cancel those products before proceeding.
  2. If you purchased the product with us or through one of our resellers, please contact our team to terminate the existing product before configuring anew.
  3. If you are a reseller, perform a global search for the product domain.
  4. Select the SpamExperts product from the drop-down list or the parent hosting account if it is an add-on service, then choose the SpamExperts product from the 'Add-ons' list.
  5. Navigate to the 'Module Commands' list on the product page.
  6. Click the Terminate module command to completely cancel the SpamExperts product.

Alias Domains

If you haven't used this domain in SpamExperts before and are still encountering the error, it may be added as an alias domain for another SpamExperts product. Alias domains are considered subdomains of the domain you are trying to configure.

For more information on alias domains, visit Manage Domain Aliases.

How to Remove a Domain Alias

  1. In the Domain Level Control Panel, go to General > Domain aliases.
  2. Use the Query Rules panel to set your search filters for specific aliases.
  3. Click Show Results to display all matching aliases.
  4. Use the drop-down menu next to each alias to choose to edit or remove it.

Contact Support

If you believe the domain was added as an alias to a product you no longer control, please reach out to the SpamExperts Technical Support team for assistance.

Gotchas to Avoid

  • Double-check all existing domains and aliases before making changes to avoid conflicts.
  • Ensure you have the appropriate permissions to cancel or modify existing products.
