Our systems are designed to automatically send a "Welcome" email to all SpamExperts users as soon as the first spam message is detected.
Features of the Welcome Email
This email serves several important functions:
- It automatically adds the user to the Periodic Protection Report page.
- The email contains a link that allows users to request a login link for their account.
- It provides options to log directly into the interface (or via IMAP) to access log searches, manage quarantined messages, view the delivery queue, and adjust other settings.
Protection Report
Once a customer is set up and the welcome email is sent, they will receive a Protection Report 24 hours later. This report details all quarantined messages for the recipient over the previous day.
Report Details
The daily report includes a table with specific details on each quarantined message, including:
- Time
- From
- To (only applicable on domain reports)
- Subject
- Size
- Classification
- Releasing options
Message Options in the Report
Each report provides multiple options for handling each message, which can be executed directly without logging in:
- Release: This releases the message and delivers it to the recipient without marking it as a classification mistake.
- Release and Train: This releases the message, delivers it to the recipient, and reports it as a classification mistake to the filtering engines.
- Whitelist Sender and Release: This releases the message, delivers it to the recipient, and whitelists the sender’s email address.
- Blacklist Sender and Remove: This deletes the message from quarantine and blacklists the sender’s email address.
Gotchas to Avoid
- Check your spam folder if you don't receive the welcome email after account activation.
- Regularly review your Protection Reports to stay informed about quarantined messages.
